Monastiraki Flea Market
Monastiraki's famous flea market is where you will find
everything from hand bags and worry beads to replica Byzantine
icons and Greek cigarette lighters. Centered between Plateia
Monastirakiou and the Ancient Agora, even on regular shopping
days the area’s tiny shops are full to bursting with a dazzling
assortment of items. But Sunday is the big day, when the market
stalls spill out into neighboring Thissio and Psiri. Arrive
early to avoid the crowds.
