Archaeological Museum of Piraeus
Located two blocks from Zea Marina, the Archaeological Museum of
Piraeus houses rare exhibits from the Hellenistic and Roman periods.
Of particular interest are the exquisite bronze classical statues:
the archaic Kouros of Apollo dated to the end of the 6th century BC;
a 4th century BC bronze statue of Athena of Piraeus; and two bronze
statues of Artemis, both dated to the 4th century BC. The museum's
collection also includes dedicatory relieves, urns, a fine collection
of sculptured grave monuments, and Classical ceramics from
excavations in Piraeus, Salamis and the west coast.

Nautical Museum of Greece
The Nautical Museum of Greece, otherwise known as the Maritime
Museum, reveals the chronology of Greek naval history from antiquity
to present day. Great naval battles and life at sea are
reconstructed through the museum’s collection of model ships,
paintings, flags, nautical instruments, uniforms, maps and weapons.
Tiny models of ships made from bone by French prisoners during the
Napoleonic wars are a highlight of the collection.
