1st DAY: Depart
for the CORINTH CANAL (short stop). Drive on and visit the ancient town of
Corinth (one of the most important cities of ancient Greece) where St.Paul live
and preached for two years. Continue for Olympia, the birth place of the Olympic
Games. The Olympic games proved to be historical landmarks for the ancient Greek
world. The year 776 B.C, which was the date of the fist Olympiad, was the first
certain and accurate chronology in Greek history. Overnight stay in Olympia.
2nd DAY: Visit at the archaeological site with the Temple of Hera, the Temple of
Zeus and the archaeological museum. Next to the unique example of the severe
style of works in the museum of Olympia, the works representing the Classical
age occupy only a limited space, but they are so important and so
representative. One of them is the Nike of Paionios and another one is the Hermes
of Praxitelis. Depart via PATRAS (short stop) to ATHENS.
